About CitizenshipPractice
CitizenshipPractice is a free, independent tool for practising the Australian citizenship test. It was built for one job: helping you walk into the real test prepared and confident. Every question is written from Our Common Bond, the official Department of Home Affairs study booklet, and grouped by its five chapters — so you always know exactly where to revise.
Practise in your language
Many people preparing for the citizenship test are studying in their second, third or fourth language. That is where we are different: you can turn on translation subtitles in Nepali, Simplified Chinese, Hindi, Punjabi, Vietnamese, Arabic or Urdu, shown beneath the English question, options and explanation. English is always kept — the real test is in English — so you build understanding in a language you know without losing exam practice. We keep adding more languages over time.
Built from Our Common Bond
We don't pad the question bank with repeats or trick questions to inflate a number. Each question reflects a real, testable fact from the official booklet, with a short explanation and a pointer back to its source chapter. After every practice test you get a topic-by-topic breakdown showing which chapters to revisit, so your study time goes where it counts. You can read every question in the questions & answers index, or study a single chapter through the topic study guides.
Scored like the real test
Our full practice test mirrors the official format: 20 multiple-choice questions in 45 minutes, with the same pass rules — at least 75% overall, and all five Australian Values questions correct. Practising under the same clock and the same bar means the real thing feels familiar.
Free and private
There is no signup, no email and no payment. Your progress and any preferences you set are kept privately in your own browser, on your own device — we don't collect personal information, and we don't run analytics or advertising. See the privacy policy for more on what's stored.
Questions or feedback
Spotted a question that reads wrong, want a language added, or just have a suggestion? We'd like to hear it — get in touch through the contact page. Feedback from people sitting the real test is how this tool gets better.
