Terms of use
These terms cover your use of CitizenshipPractice, a free tool for practising the Australian citizenship test. They are written in plain English because the tool itself is simple: it is free, needs no account, and collects nothing about you.
Acceptance
By using CitizenshipPractice you agree to these terms. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the site. You don't need to sign up or provide any details — using the site is your acceptance.
What this is — and isn't
CitizenshipPractice is an independent study aid — it is not the official Australian citizenship test. Not affiliated with the Department of Home Affairs or the Australian Government. Your practice scores have no legal standing: they don't affect, replace, or predict the result of the real test, which you book and sit through the Department of Home Affairs.
No warranty
The site is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. We write every question from the official Our Common Bond booklet and work to keep them accurate, but we can't guarantee the material is complete, current, or error-free. Always confirm anything that matters against the official source at homeaffairs.gov.au before you rely on it.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we're not liable for any loss or inconvenience arising from your use of the site or from relying on its content — including an exam result, a missed detail, or the site being unavailable. CitizenshipPractice is a free study aid offered in good faith, and you use it at your own discretion. Nothing in these terms is meant to exclude any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that can't be excluded.
Content and intellectual property
The questions, explanations and study material are based on the publicly available Our Common Bond booklet, which is published by the Department of Home Affairs and remains its work. Our own wording, layout and design are provided for your personal study. You're welcome to use the site to prepare for the test, but please don't copy, resell or redistribute the question bank or pass the material off as your own.
External links and third-party services
The site links to external pages, such as the Department of Home Affairs website, that we don't control and aren't responsible for. If you send us a message, the contact form is handled by a third-party service (Formspree), whose own terms and privacy policy apply to that submission.
Your data
Using the site collects no personal information: your practice progress is stored only in your own browser, on your own device, and is never sent to a server. The one exception is if you choose to contact us. The privacy policy explains exactly what is stored, what happens when you use the contact form, and for how long.
Acceptable use
CitizenshipPractice is for personal, non-commercial study. Please don't copy, resell, or redistribute the question bank, attempt to disrupt or overload the site, or use it in a way that spoils it for other people.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always the one published on this page, and continued use of the site means you accept the latest version.
