Free Australian citizenship practice test
The current Australian citizenship test has 20 multiple-choice questions and a 45-minute time limit. To pass, you need at least 15 correct answers overall and must answer all 5 Australian Values questions correctly. This free practice test follows those scoring rules and draws from all five topics of Our Common Bond.
Last reviewed against the Department of Home Affairs citizenship test guidance. CitizenshipPractice is an independent study aid, not the official test.
How the test is scored
Multiple choice, one correct answer each.
The same clock as the official test.
At least 15 of the 20 questions correct.
Every Australian Values question must be correct.
Our full practice test applies exactly these rules, so a pass here means you have met the same bar as the official test: at least 75% overall and every Australian Values question correct. After each attempt you get a topic-by-topic breakdown showing which chapters to revise.
